Quantico Creek Boat Access

Quantico Creek borders the northern Mainside portion of Quantico. There is a boat ramp located at the old Hospital Point, which can be accessed from a gravel road behind the Marine Corps Systems Command campus just north of Quantico Town. The boat ramp will support large boats at high to mean tide only. The ramp is concrete and well-lit with a gentle slope, and is adjacent to a dock. The ramp extends about 20 ft into the water from the high water mark and then drops off sharply. Tide has little impact on your ability to put in and take out small boats and canoes but can make it very difficult to launch or recover large boats at low tide. Tidal changes will rarely affect your ability to navigate up and down the waterway.
